How to send emails to your fans from your groover.me Link-in-bio

Write one message and send it straight to the fans who signed up on your Link-in-bio

Written by Emma Ballay

Your Audience is the list of fans who signed up through your Drops. With Fan Messaging, you can email them directly from Groover. Got a show tonight, a new release or a crowdfunding campaign to share? Write your message once and send it to all your fans or just some of them, with no other emailing tool to set up.

Where to find Fan Messaging

Go to Your profile and site → Fan Messaging. The tab sits right after Audience.

You’ll find all your messages there, with 3 filters:

  • All messages: your drafts first, then your sent messages, newest first

  • Drafts: messages you’ve started but not sent yet

  • Sent: messages that have gone out, with the number of fans they were sent to, how many opened them, and the date they were sent

How to send a message to your fans

  1. Click New message in the top right corner

  2. Under channel, select Email

  3. Choose your audience: all your subscribers, or one of your segments. You’ll see how many fans will receive your message

4. Add a subject (up to 60 characters) and your message (up to 10,000 characters). The preview on the right shows exactly what your fans will see

5. Click Send test email to check it in your own inbox first. Test emails are free

6. Choose to send now or schedule it for a later date and time. Scheduled messages use your own timezone by default

7. Click Send

Not ready to send yet? Click Save as draft. Your message is kept exactly as it is, and you can come back to it whenever you like. Saving a draft is free.

How much does it cost?

You get 100 free emails every month. Your free emails are always used first. They reset at the start of each month and don’t carry over.

After that, messages are paid in Grooviz: 1 Grooviz lets you send 500 emails.

When you send, the cost is rounded up to the next whole Grooviz. Whatever you don’t use stays on your account as message credits. These credits never expire and are used before your Grooviz the next time you send. For example, if you send 300 emails, 1 Grooviz is taken from your wallet and you still have enough credits for 200 more emails.

The cost updates as you write your message, so before you send you’ll always see:

  • how many free emails you have left

  • what the message will cost

  • what your balance will be after sending

If you don’t have enough Grooviz, click Add Grooviz in the message window. You can top up without losing your message (minimum purchase: 20 Grooviz), then go straight back to it.

💡 The automatic emails your fans receive when they sign up to a Drop are free and don't use your credits, up to 1,000 emails per Drop

Scheduling and cancelling a message

When you schedule a message, the Grooviz it needs are set aside straight away. That way, you’re sure to have enough when it goes out.

Changed your mind? You can cancel a scheduled message from your list, and the Grooviz come back to your wallet. You can’t cancel a message once it has started sending.

Once your message has been sent, you’ll get a notification and an email confirming how many fans received it.

If a scheduled message can’t be sent (for example, because your audience grew and your balance no longer covers the cost), no Grooviz are taken. We let you know why, and your message goes back to your Drafts so you can fix it and send it again.

Good to know

  • Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Fans who unsubscribe won’t receive your next messages, and they’re no longer counted in your audience or your cost.

  • Sent messages can’t be edited. Click one in your list to see its details and stats.

  • If you don’t have any subscribers yet, start by creating a Drop to grow your Audience.
