How much you need to invest to optimize your results, and how to make the most out of Groover 💪

Are you looking to promote your music to curators, radios, record labels and pros available on Groover, but you don't know how much to spend in order to maximize your results? You're not the only one!

Thankfully, campaigns on Groover aren't likely to break the bank. Still, we've noticed a strong correlation between the number of curators & pros chosen, and the success of the campaign (in terms of results obtained and artist satisfaction). Targeting the right contacts also has an important impact!

Over the course of 5 years, we've tracked the most successful campaigns on Groover, and found that they were sent to more than 50 contacts (100 Grooviz) and even 100 contacts (200 Grooviz).

How much do I need to invest in my Groover campaign in order to be successful?

As we said, the most successful campaigns on Groover almost always include at least 50 contacts (100 Grooviz), and even 100 contacts (200 Grooviz). The relevance of the number of contacts chosen will of course depend on your musical style and your objectives, but with more than 2,000 active music curators & pros at the moment, you may be spoilt for choice (so we recommend using the filters if you need to narrow down your options!)

We recommend adapting your strategy to your budget

If you've got time, but a limited budget: We suggest you optimize for precision, using the filters and information on curators/pro profiles. As with anyone, there's a learning curve on Groover: the more you'll send campaigns, the more you'll be experienced and know how to target well. You can always save your favorite curators to a list for easier access in the future.

If you have limited time and/or a comfortable budget: You can opt for a more global promotion strategy when your track is released, which can help you benefit from a close-to-immediate booster and get your music heard to more people rapidly! The filters can be still be useful to help you save time in your selection process, with the option to "Add All" after you've chosen your targets.

We have noted that the most successful campaigns on Groover were almost all sent to more than 50 contacts (100 Grooviz) and even 100 contacts (200 Grooviz). We suggest trying things out, as testing the waters on less conventional targets can surprise you! For example, many artists tell us they were surprised at how well they did internationally, when they were originally considering targeting only local curators 😉

Determine what types of curators & pros you want to target

  • Visibility: More than 70% of the contacts available on Groover can offer direct opportunities to get you coverage if your music resonates with them. If this is your main target, we suggest spending at least 100-200 Grooviz (50-100+ contacts) depending on your music genres. The more you select curators and pros, the more you increase your chances to get impactful results!

  • Collaboration: For reaching out to labels, managers, bookers, sync supervisors, etc., we suggest taking your time to target relevant contacts for you and your musical style. The campaigns can be small and precise.

Frequent use cases

Are you an independent artist releasing a single?

For your first Groover campaign, we advise you to start with the Silver pack (approx. 50 contacts) which will allow you to get in touch with a significant number of contacts (media outlets, playlisters, radio stations, etc.) to obtain valuable results!

Have you planned several releases in the months to come?

In that case, we suggest choosing the Gold pack (approx. 150 contacts), which will multiply your possibilities and reach. Important reminder: Grooviz never expire, so you'll always be able to use them several months later.

Do you represent many artists with recurrent releases?

The Gold pack (approx. 150 contacts) and the Platinum pack (approx. 250 contacts) are the most relevant for you, with respectively a 15% and a 20% discount.
