When a content creator on Groover accepts your track, there are 2 ways they can feature it: a collective feature or a solo feature. This article explains what each one is, how solo feature offers work, and what happens whatever you decide.
1. The 2 formats
Collective feature
This is the standard format, and the one you get by default. The content creator features your track in a post or reel alongside several other artists, for example a “top 5 discoveries of the week” video.
It’s included in what you already paid when you sent your track. You don’t need to buy or set up anything else.
Solo feature
This is an optional upgrade a content creator can offer you after accepting your track. It’s a piece of content that spotlights only your music, at a higher price. Buying it is entirely up to you. It’s a way for an artist and a curator who are a great match to create something together: a custom piece of content for the artist, and great content for the creator to share with their audience, but optional for both.
It’s one or the other, not both
If you accept a solo feature, it replaces the collective feature for that track: one accepted track, one piece of content, one link. If you don’t accept it, the creator delivers the collective feature as normal.
2. Which creators offer solo features?
Solo features are only available with certain content creators, invited by the Groover team. You’ll see an “Offers Solo Features” label on their curator card, quick view and profile.
To see only these creators when building a campaign, tick “Offers Solo Features” in the Advanced filters of the catalog.
The label shows that a creator may offer a solo feature, not that they will. They only offer one when they’ve accepted your track and think it fits, and they decide track by track.
3. Receiving a solo feature offer
If a creator offers you a solo feature, you’ll get a notification and an email. A Solo Feature Offer card will also appear in your dashboard, on the submission for that track, with:
what the creator would like to do (a video spotlighting only your music),
the price, in Grooviz,
a countdown showing how long you have left to answer.
You have 14 days to decide. We’ll send you reminders before the offer expires.
4. Accepting the offer
Click “Accept Solo Feature” on the card and confirm.
If you have enough Grooviz in your wallet, the amount is deducted straight away.
If you have some Grooviz, but not enough, you’ll see the breakdown and only need to buy the difference.
If your wallet is empty, you’ll be taken to the payment page to buy the full amount.
Once the payment goes through, the offer is accepted automatically. You don’t need to go back and confirm again. The card then shows “Purchased”, and the purchase appears in your wallet history.
If you close the window or your payment fails, nothing changes: the offer stays open until it expires, so you can try again.
5. Declining the offer, or not answering
If you’d rather stick with the collective feature, click “No thanks, feature my track with other artists” and confirm. If you don’t answer within 14 days, the offer expires on its own.
In both cases it costs you nothing extra. The creator will still feature your track alongside other artists, as included in your original submission.
6. What happens next
You accepted: the creator makes your solo video and adds the link to your submission, just like any other share.
You declined or didn’t answer: the creator delivers the collective feature as normal.
The creator’s delivery deadline only starts once you’ve answered (or the offer has expired), so take the time you need to decide.
The offer card stays on your submission in its final state (Purchased, Offer declined or Expired), so you always have a record of what was offered.
7. Pricing
The solo feature price is set by Groover in advance based on each creator’s reach and impact. The creator doesn’t set or change it themselves. The price shown on the offer is the price you pay. Discount codes can't be applied on solo features.
8. If something goes wrong
The creator doesn’t deliver your solo video: you’ll get a full refund of the solo feature. If nothing at all is delivered, the original submission is refunded too.
The creator posts a collective feature instead of the solo video you paid for: reach out to us and we’ll refund the solo feature.
Your payment fails: your offer stays open until it expires, so you can try again.
