Are there any rules for sharing tracks?

No, it's up to the curator to decide whether or not to share a song. However, as you know, one of Groover's main qualities is the capacity of our amazing curators to generate great impact in the careers of our fellow artists. Therefore, we have specific recommendations to ensure curators are promoting artists (the ones they decide to offer an opportunity) in a fair and impactful way.

One of the most important points is to make sure the opportunities you offer are connected to your main activity in the industry. For instance, bookers should focus on inviting artists to perform at events, while a magazine should focus on writing articles (e.g. about an artist’s new release).

The curator's “opportunity rate” (calculated by: # opportunities given / # submissions answered) will appear on their profile, and this score will impact the profile's image as it will be visible to artists when they are creating their campaigns. Some curators have high opportunity rates while others have lower rates (they are usually the tastemakers and most exclusive curators on the platform).

If you're already a curator, you'll have access to our Share Guide (available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian), containing all the do's and don'ts when it comes to sharing an artist on Groover. The guide is divided into different curator categories and the share recommendations will depend on which categories you belong to.
