First, you have to understand that becoming a curator on Groover is not open to everyone. Each application is carefully reviewed.

The Criteria for Becoming a Music Curator/Pro on Groover

To become a music curator/pro on Groover, you must check all these boxes:

  • Your project/work is serious and solid.

  • You've been active for a significant amount of time and are currently active.

  • You create valuable content that helps showcase emerging artists.

  • You have a website and/or social media page with a significant audience.

  • You can offer opportunities, coverage, and detailed advice to the artists that resonate with you.

We reserve the right to approve or deny any new curator/pro to maintain the coherence of the list of contacts offered to our artists.

Validation of your application

After your application, we'll contact you shortly to approve your application, ask for more information, or decline it.

To maximize your chances of being approved as a music curator/pro, we advise you to complete in your profile fully by indicating the musical genres you like and write about, what you want or do not want to receive, your favorite artists, and a short description. One of the most important aspects is knowing how to write the biography of your profile. You will receive an onboarding email if your application is approved.

We typically review applications within 24-48 hours. However, if additional information is needed, the process may take longer. In some cases, you may receive an email from our team requesting complementary details, which can extend the review time to several days. Rest assured, your application is being actively reviewed even if further information is required.

The Groover team has the final say in denying any curator we believe does not align with our community's values. If your application is denied, you will receive an email explaining the reason for our decision.

The Groover Guidelines for Curators

Once your profile is approved, the artists will be able to contact you through Groover and you will be notified by email for each track you receive! We will also send you emails when submissions are about to expire.

Before you officially start providing feedback, you will receive the Groover Guidelines for Curators via email. This short guide will surely help you give your first feedback. 😉

As one of Groover's main priorities is helping artists succeed in their careers, the feedback you provide is extremely important to us, so we take the quality of the feedback sent to our artists very seriously. 🎸
