Yes, you can share AI-generated music on Groover, but it's important to clearly state that your track is AI-generated via the checkbox at the beginning of your campaign.
At Groover, we welcome all types of music, including tracks created with the help of AI tools or software. However, not all music curators are open to reviewing AI-generated music.
Even though the topic is highly visible, AI-generated music remains extremely marginal on Groover. Almost all tracks promoted through Groover remain not AI-generated, and we monitor these stats closely.
To help your music get the right attention and avoid confusion, we ask you to follow these simple rules:
1.What is considered AI music on Groover?
On Groover, AI music includes:
Prompt-based tracks, where the core musical structure (melody, harmony, arrangement and/or lyrics) is generated by an AI tool,
With little or no direct human intervention (instrument performance, vocals, or fully human-written lyrics),
Using services such as Suno or Udio.
2. Be transparent about using AI in your music
If your track is partially or fully generated using AI, you should check “Yes” in the AI composition checkbox at the first step of your campaign.
Being transparent about your creative process helps build trust with curators and increases your chances of receiving valuable feedback.
You can provide more details about which parts of your track are human-made and which are AI-generated. For example, you can include this information in your pitch:
"This song was composed using AI tools like [Tool Name]. I handled the structure, lyrics, and mixing personally."
3. Do not hide that your music was made with AI
Trying to pass off an AI-generated song as fully human-made may lead to negative feedback or getting flagged by curators. Please do not try to hide the use of AI in your track, we value honesty and clarity on Groover.
4. Can I find curators who accept AI music?
Some curators on Groover have mentioned in their profile that they are open to AI-generated tracks. If you create AI-assisted music, it’s a good idea to target curators who are clearly okay with AI music, this improves your results and avoids wasted submissions.
By declaring that your track is AI-generated at the first step of your campaign, you’ll see curators who accept AI music at the top of the list of professionals.
If a curator does not accept AI music, you should see the tag "AI music" under the attributes in the "I don't want to receive" category on their profile ⬇️
5. What if you don't use AI in your music?
At the risk of stating the obvious, you of course don't need to use AI in your music. Nothing changes for you if you don’t use AI to create your music. As mentioned above, AI-generated tracks on Groover remain a very small minority, and Groover is first focused on human-made–music:
Artists who do not use AI are not filtered, deprioritized, or negatively impacted in any way. They're the core of Groover's raison d'être and we'll keep on doing everything we can to champion them.
Curators who specify that they don't want to receive AI tracks will be hidden for AI creators, and can thus focus all their attention on independent artists and human-created compositions.
Curators who choose not to receive AI-generated music are not dereferenced for independent artists, only for AI creators.
